Debora Courtright wants you to know: she doesn't really flip houses. That in no way means she won't rehab, renovate, and rebuild. She certainly can, often with spectacular results. It's just that selling has rarely been the point. A former denizen of Los Angeles, New York City, and chicago, Courtright's passion for redesign has been aimed squarely at her own homes. Over decades. she developed a flair for managing an overhaul, learning how to - as she puts it - "take it town to the studs." But these extended revamps were all in service of an old real estate axiom: "Location, location, location." Rather than searching for the perfect home, she simply bought property where she wanted to live and shaped it to her liking.
